The ghostly figure of a 19th century distiller has caught the attention of the local Acton community. The distillery team have each reported the same feeling of a presence – guiding them as work late into the night. Casks, untouched by human hand, have moved as through influenced by something unseen. And most mysterious of all – the single malt whisky emerging from those casks has been transformed, reaching new heights of complexity and richness.
The Spectre’s Craft is a limited-edition London single malt whisky, representing the culmination of this strange and mysterious journey. Matured in both re-charred American oak casks and Spanish oloroso sherry casks, this expression is as rich and deep as the myth that surrounds it.
Tasting notes
Nose: Caramel wafers and golden syrup join plump sultanas whilst toffee pennies sit alongside scattered autumn berries. Tingles of pumpkin spice enliven a rich and malty core.
Palate: A full-bodied arrival of griddled pineapple chunks, syrupy mangoes and singed toffee lead into prominent charred oak with nutmeg, ginger and cinnamon powder enlivening maple pancakes and malt loaf
Finish: Lingering tropical fruit sweetness, tempered by persistent but well-balanced cask spice.
